Climatic zone
Climatic zones are large areas of the Earth that have similar patterns of weather throughout the year.
These zones are mainly determined by how far a place is from the equator and are grouped into three main types: tropical, temperate, and polar. Each zone has its own climate characteristics, which affect the plants, animals, and ways of life found there.
WHAT IS AN EQUATOR ?
The equator is an imaginary line that goes around the middle of the Earth, dividing it into two equal halves: the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. It is located at 0 degrees latitude.
The equator is the hottest part of the Earth because it receives the most direct sunlight throughout the year. Countries near the equator usually have warm temperatures and a tropical climate with little change in seasons.
